So i got a Behringer Metailen Guitar last year. Ive gotten much better and I want to get a new guitar, but i dont want to stop playing this one because i like it. The stock pickups tho arent doing it for me anymore. I was also going to change all the hardware too so it can all be black and better than the stock hardware, and im also going to ebonize the fretboard.

Btw I have a peavey vypyr, and going to upgrade to a Randall G3 RG75.

This is the guitar:http://www.melmusic.com.au/shop/products_pictures/58109.jpg(no usb tho)

Pickups:

Neck:http://accessories.musiciansfriend.com/product/DiMarzio-DP110-FS1-Pickup?sku=302160

How is that going to sound?

Comes out to about $300. Cheaper than I want to spend on a new guitar.

What do you guys think? Any other suggestions?

I'd just buy a new guitar if you can and just keep the old one if you can afford it. It's way too much hassle to upgrade it all unless you're savvy with doing that sort of stuff.

If you like it then why are you changing everything on it .... Pickups fair enough but that is nearly an overhaul...

I would buy a new guitar and not upgrade anything on your current one ...

Well for one i want all the hardware to be black and last time when i was tuning one of the saddles on my bridge somehow flew off and I really dont want it to happen again. Wouldnt you agree tho if everything on the guitar was black it would be alot better?

oh dear, making everything one colour wont make it better. !!
replace the parts that need replacing and get an new one, no point in acidentally ruining it is there?

I think it would Err ok what about just the pickups then? and spend the rest on a professional setup. I dont really like all black guitars anymore but hell since i have one i mind as well make the whole thing match the crome hardware is kind of annoying to me.

Not at all man. Just need some opinions. If i was really this bored to just start posting things id go play COD. I like the guitar, i just think somethings should be changed and all my friends that got new guitars just forgot about their old ones and I dont want to do that with this one just beacause my new guitar sounds better. After hearing some suggestions im just thinking maybe just pickups now. How will that combo sound?

Dam i forgot to mention that. Mostly Thrash Metal and Hard Rock. Maybe some blues.

I would probably wait until you get your new amp before you touch the guitar

To be honest it looks like you're wasting a lot of cash for nothing of gain. The guitar only costs $160 or there abouts it's probably better just to save all that cash for a guitar that's something better then a beginner's guitar. It's not like the first guitar you buy needs to be so freaking awesome it's just their to get your head around the guitar.

Look at it like this: why buy a Honda and upgrade it with GPS screen, killer sound system, DVD player, heated seats, new stereo, etc when you could buy an Acura will all that for the same price? The Acura will drive better and feel better than the Honda.

The same thing in your case. Why pimp out a crap (no offense) Behringer guitar when for the same price you could buy a semi-decent Ibanez?
