Hey there, at the moment I have a Pathfinder 15r that I'm using. But after aquiring my new axe recently (Epiphone G400) I am selling my old guitar for $150 (AU) to a friend. My thought then, is that since the pathfinder in only like a month old I could take it back and get $280 back an then spend the $150+$280 aswell as about $100 extra on a new tube amp. So that leaves me with $530 to spend, what do you guy think I should get? I play mostly Classic to Hard rock and a bit of blues and I dont gig at the moment so volume isn't a problem.
Thanks

u cant really get anything super for 530 AUD

Epiphone Valve is the only thing i can think of that may be in that range that has a valve in it but doesnt mean its good.

It doesn't really have to be valve, I was looking at the Vox AD30, any good?

If volume isnt an issue why not AD15? I've never used it, my first amp was a mg15cdr then i jumped to a bugera coz i'm gonna be playing live more permanently and im cheap.

Back then with the marshall, on top of it sounding crap, i never really needed the volume, although looking back iwas tempted more by the 30watt only coz i thought 30's more than 15 which is better... right??

Yeah its not the case.

On UG alot of ppl do recommend the vox ad though

I would get a 5watt valve amp. Would be ideal for you genres.

Something like the Fender Champ 600, or Blackstar HT-5 combo. Not too sure about teh AU currency.

Throw up the volume and enjoy the tone

You're not truly playing guitar unless you know theory.
