and just found out that i was actually doing "scale positions"

is that helpful to train up fingers and fretting? thx...
tired of finger speed exercise and turned into slow blues improvisation lately

same thing if they use the same notes,

scale positions are just an easy way to remember scales by using patterns instead of thinking to much of the notes of which scales use

exactly why i think learning guitar is so much easier than anything else (specially keys)
and yuh i had the same problem when i started learning. the scale shapes are moved up and down the neck to change the key.
