What are some good boost pedals for a JCM 900?

I would prefer one that gives it a little bit of a sharper tone. It has a good tone, but the power chords sound a little bit too "smooth."

EQ?
Boss GE-7 / MXR 10 band would both serve you well.

An EQ might work, but I am using the boost for gain as well as tone, so I still need a recommendation.

Well if you want a dedicated booster, EHX LPB-1 will do you just fine.
However, you can also use the 'Level' slider on an EQ pedal (or the 'Gain' on the MXR) to do the same job. I use my EQ's to balance the tone and boost it at the same time.

I see what you are talking about.

I will try that out, but I am on a low budget right now.

How is the "Danelectro Fish and Chips" pedal? If it isn't good enough, should I go with an MXR or Boss pedal?

Fish and chips is pretty damn good. If you're on a budget it's great.

Thanks, but I think I will go with the MXR. I prefer how it has the gain and volume control.
