Does anyone else besides me despise Itunes? With their 'Album only' purchases, and how they are too scared to tackle problems that they don't give you a number to call for support on all issues?

Take today for instance.

I tried changing my billing information, for my card had expired, but Itunes kept denying my card saying that the security code was invalid. How is Itunes going to tell me that my security code is invalid when i see it right in front of my eyes???

Itunes.......

Why are concepts like "pay" and "buy" in the same post as "music"? Are you a troll?

I'm not against buying music (I buy CDs all the time), but for some reason buying mp3s never made sense to me. It never will.

Exactly. Where is the booklet to read through, to admire the artwork, and to wear out from following songs with the written lyrics over time?
Where is the casing to add to your shelves of collected albums?
Where is the very-pleasing cd-quality of sound?
=/

I only buy CDs for the bands I really like and think deserve my money, but if I want say...Breaking Benjamin's first album I'm not about to get on iTunes or go CD hunting for that shit.

This + torrents. I can't stand iTunes either, it's a godawful program to use. As soon as my iPod dies (which is fast approaching) I'm getting a different mp3 player so I don't have to use iTunes anymore.

And if I'm going to buy music, I want a physical copy.

These are the exact reasons why I still buy CDs.

Well, yeah. I only buy CDs of my favourite bands/albums that I love. I'm pretty sure most people are like that.

I don't understand why people buy music online. I'll download the exact same files you get, if not a better quality, for free. Or, I'll go out and buy a physical copy of the album to get the artwork and liner notes. You pay more for less.

I don't buy much music from iTunes (mostly from CD's), but I like the setup of the program. All of the DRM stuff is really annoying and the store can sometimes overprice videos and stuff, but it seems to work for me.

I love iTunes. But the iTunes Store as more than a place to look around for podcasts is pretty shit.

The only music I buy is up-and-commers who you either can't find on torrents, or who could actually use the support monetarily.

But if its a bigger name than oh, lets say... The Black Keys, then torrent it all the way.

Record company makes most of that money anyways. Most artists that are that big or bigger make most (if not all) of their money touring.

Winamp+uTorrent.

It has better iPod support than iTunes.

What about the producers, studio musicians, writers, etc...They make all of their money solely off record sales, and they're just as important as the band themselves.
