Hey guys,
looking at buying a vox vt30 but was wondering:
would it be loud enough to gig with? (nothing big though
and can I hook up a cab to it for more power if needed?
Thanks

my uncle's is pretty friggin loud, and he said he once played it over a marshall tube halfstack, so you should be good. at about volume 2 its louder than drums, so...

It's really something you should check out. I have a first generation AD30VT and the amp suffers from significant volume drop-off on some channels, especially the low gain/clean channels. I don't know if that's true with the current redesign. If you can swing it, you should probably get the 50 just for the headroom.
