I want to know what gauge and type of strings that TDWP's guitarist uses.
You don't have to know exactly, but just estimate what you think..thanks!

If you're trying to get something close to their sound, the amp is gonna make a much bigger difference than the string brand or gauge.

Not trying to be rude, just trying to help
- Gibson Flying V 120 #1 (White)
- Gibson Flying V 120 #2 (Cherry)
- Gibson SG Standard ('61 style)
- Jackson DK2M

- ENGL Fireball 60
- Avatar 4x12

- Many pedals, plus other stuff

Getting an identical string gauge... even of the same brand will not even begin to bring you close to their sound.

it's so cool to hate Gibson, even the federal Department of Justice hates them.

Yeah, I'm not trying to get the exact sound, just wondering what they use so I can try them out. I know the effects to do it, just not the strings.

Uber Pro Audio lists it as GHS Bloomers... but no string gauge.

Check out the sample clip in my profile. I can PM you with details if you want.
I've bought, sold, and traded more gear than I care to admit.

For drop D, Chris Rubey uses GHS David Gilmour 10.5-50 (10.5, 13, 17p, 30, 40, 50) and Jeremey DePoyster uses GHS Boomers 11-52 (11, 14, 19p, 28, 40, 52). For drop B, both use GHS Boomers 13-56 (13, 17, 26w, 36, 44, 56).
