Hey, I have a 5150 halfstack, I replaced the powertubes and i think the preamp tubes may be stock, my question is How drastic would the change be if i were to change the preamp tubes to higher gain tubes?

Very drastic.

Can you see what brand or make of 12AX7s are there?

Preamp tube changes, when compared to power tube changes, make a massive difference to your tone.

Your clean tone will deteriorate too if you change ALL your preamp tubes to high gainers.

it's so cool to hate Gibson, even the federal Department of Justice hates them.

Err... no experience with those tubes...

If you put in too high gain tubes... you might experience hizz and gainy-ish noise at low levels too.
