Hello,

So, I've been transposing the song "Falling Inside The Black" by Skillet from Drop B to Drop D so my band can play it. Everything was easily done---except for the solo.

Originally, the solo in Drop B was found somewhere in here:

When transposing the solo to Drop D, the method of simply shifting everything 3 frets ran into a problem in the first part of the solo, if you look at the attachment.

Obviously, the stretch from the 4th to 8th frets would make things a bit difficult. Is there any other way to transpose this out?

I've not heard the song before but maybe you could try tapping or playing the note on a different string?

Why are you transposing the song into different positions? Just play it the way it is written. If your band is tuned in Drop D then the song will be in Drop D.
