This band is really really great.

They have catchy riffs and lyrics and I really wanna see them live as well.

Everything from vocals to guitar is solid and well put together...anyone agree?

I'm going to have to disagree..Vocals at least on the myspace would completely turn me off... Not soo much because of the screams but the non screams sound lame.

Yeah it truly is! I'm a fan of old school Black Flag amongst other non modern mainstream bands.

I like some of their songs. Others like the last song on their new album (I can't remember the name and I'm in school so iTunes is unavailable) are barely tolerable

Gonna have to bump this. This band is great. I remember seeing them for the first time back in 2007 opening for Atreyu and they were pretty good. Then they came out with this newer album and it really is a great album. They're still kinda a local gem here in San Diego.

I actually love this band. I've been listening to The Greatest of All Lost Arts nonstop for like three months now and it isn't getting old. Pretty excited that they're writing a new one.

On a related note, are there any bands that sound similar to this one? Bands that are kind of on the line between post-hardcore and metalcore with somewhat intricate guitar parts? I've been looking for something similar for ages now and I keep getting Emarosa and Pierce the Veil recommended...

They're definitely a unique band. I don't really know of another band that's like them. Maybe Hopesfall?

That's actually my favorite too, closely followed by Miami Nights. In fact there's not a bad song on the album; the only three I skip occasionally are The Ocean the Beast, The Ventriloquist, and Versus Versace because they're kinda meh. And I don't like anything Johnny Craig's in but for some reason I really like his guest vocals in Pueblo Cicada.

I like other bands a lot more as well, but there's nothing to compare between them. It's awesome that you like hardcore more than post-hardcore / metalcore, no one cares.

Yes, I realize that this was posted over a year ago.

When they aren't being teh heavyzors, it reminds me of Tides of Man a bit, maybe some PmToday. I would look them up regardless.

Mixed news: They've posted a new song on Facebook called "Untitled Demo 2" and it's pretty awesome. Really catchy. Unfortunately today I guess their bassist left and the future of the band is uncertain and they don't seem to be doing anything to alleviate the confusion.

Well, today they posted a link to a 3-song EP with no warning or hype or anything. Doesn't really bode well for the future of the band =/

http://lowerdefinitiondemos.bandcamp.com/

The second song is the one they posted on facebook yesterday. Everyone should buy it, it's only $3 and any encouragement at all might influence them to stay together. Even if not they deserve it.

It was only 3 for $3 earlier, they changed it. Also, iTunes doesn't play FLAC files because none of its user base cares.
