So i have a callus or similar thing on my thumb where it touches the neck?

is this normal?

It doesn't hurt really but just feels odd.

I don't have my thumb exactly flat on the neck either it's kinda rolled to the side as it just seems my hands are retarded.

Don't take my word for it but maybe you're squeezing the neck to hard with your thumb because I've been played for long enough to callus all my fingers but it's never happened from my thumb touching the neck.

But what do I know eh?

hmm could be the reason.

It might be the thin neck, having to squeeze a little more.

However i this only started happening since i got my fx260 which has gloss or something on the neck so it might just be that.

You shouldn't be squeezing with your thumb, just supporting. I think you're pressing your thumb against the neck too hard.

Your thumb shouldn't be used to sqeeze your fingertips onto the frets. This is bad practice and will hinder your speed in the future. Your thumb is there mainly for support.
