Okay, so Ive got pretty much two amps I'm choosing between for Xmas this year. I'm either gonna get the Peavey Vypyr 75 Combo, or a Blackstar Ht-5 Head without the cab(That is if I can just use headphones.) Then around March or so I'll get a cab of some sort. I play lots of different forms of rock. Ill list some of my fav bands to help you offer advice. I like, Coheed and Cambria, Chiodos, Devil Wears Prada, Bring Me The Horizon, B4MV, Atreyu, Ocean Is Theory, and Emery.

Ps. Is using headphones for 3 months worth the all tube tone of the Blackstar?

Yuo can't run the head without a cab, even using headphones, you'll blow the output transformer.

ht-5 is the better choice cuz its full tube. But u cant run it without a cab. But I saw a combo version once.
1. You're surfing the internet.
2. You're browsing through the UG forums.
3. You're reading now.
5. You didn't notice that there was no #4.
6. You just checked it.
7. Now you're having a lil smile.

That V22 seems interesting. Does it have enough gain for heavy stuff though?

No, you'll probably need a boost of some sort.

Ehh. Have you played one before?

No, but i have watched youtube vids ( i know this is nothing like playing the amp), and the "V" stands for vintage. They are vintage voiced amps.
