As the title states, a friend and I will half the cost but we do not want to spend more than $50 total. We want an mini amp (corded or batteries, don't matter) to leave at work so we can mess around during lunch. We play mostly metal, punk (i.e Metallica, Green Day, GNR Alice in Chains, etc)

So of the one I've seen are

1) Marshall MS-2 Micro Stack
2) Danelectro Honeytone N-10 Guitar Mini Amp
3) Rocktron Velocity Series VG-05 Battery Powered Guitar Combo Amp
4) Danelectro Hodad II DH-2 Mini Amp
5) Dean Markley GT1000 Micro Amp
6) Fender Mini Deluxe Amp
7) Rocktron Velocity Series VG08
8) Peavey Audition Guitar Amplifier with TransTube Technology

any to stay away from, or any "Oh definetly get that one"

Stay away from the Marshall, and DEFINITELY get the Orange Micro Crush. It's amazing. It has a built in tuner and a headphone jack. It sounds AWESOME too.
Telecaster - SG - Jaguar
Princeton Reverb, Extra Reverb
P-Bass - Mustang Bass
Apogee Duet 2 - Ableton Suite
