i actually havent got a chance to use it yet. as im rebuilding my rig. so far i have the 9200 and an empty 2x12 cab (1970 traynor closed back baby). i'm going to load it up with warehouse vintage 30's and im going to use a pod xs live for my preamp (once i get all the money together) i play metal and this is going to be my rig for playing with the band and live!

ya thats not it in the pics------- way more beat up on the outside lol but it works so ya. And i havent really got a chance to try it with any of my stuff yet since i don't have everything i need to use it yet. within a month il be all set up. but ya, it shouldn't sound like anything besides the preamp i use with a little bit of marshall colouring (using a pod x3 live.... should be decent)

Awesome deal!

If you decide you don't want it... I'll take it off your hands

Been wanting to try one of those for a while, they look saweet. Plus, I like the power sections of Marshalls, just not so much the preamp... so Marshall power amp + ??? Awesome high gain-ness = Super Awesome Metal Devistation

I've had tube amps for a while now, but never actually had any go down on me

maybe you're not saying the right things? an amp likes to know you care.

Heavy. In the literal sense.

I think that's why I started my rack setup and then killed the idea.

I couldn't lug a spaceship up three flights of stairs...

...but, yeah - cool!

+1, my rack was ridiculously heavy. I've toyed with the idea of doing another cheaper one though, I'd probably use a SS poweramp though to cut down on weight

i hear ya- its around the 60 pounds area give or take. But i'm just gonna deal with it, i'm reasonably strong and 21 years old, i can handle it! and i only plan on having to lug a pod x3 around with it so it wont be a huge deal, i doubt il even put it in a rack, il just use it out in the open

I aged thirty years after owning heavy gear for three...

I'm twenty three - I have the back of an eighty year old man now. My tone is superior though to that of three years ago - and it weighs less than half as much altogether.

Good luck with it all!
