Hey guys, trying to isolate this problem:

Buzzing through my 5150 (yes its a gainy amp). I only have it on the lead channel when distortion is on. When the guitar is unplugged no buzz. On all 5 switches I get buzz. On the humbucker its just as loud as when its on a single coil (albeit the sound is different).

Touching the strings or metal to metal does nothing. All the solder points on the guitar look to be fine.

Ideas?

Is it a really loud buzz? Its normal for strats to buzz, with or without "humbucker" setting (even between 2 coils it doesn't completely remove the buzz).
Breaking stereotypes by playing indie on a metal guitar.

Extremely loud, I should record it maybe? I have a hard time explaining what it is, but its definitely not normal strat buzz.
