practice some alternate picking on that main riff. other than that, can't really pick anything out that looks bad. check my take on Change in the House of Flies by Deftones: https://www.ultimate-guitar.com/forum/showthread.php?p=22361707#post22361707

The Myth: Mesa amps were given to us by God, and sound as such.
The Truth: True. God is the CEO and Jesus does QC at Mesa...yup.

I'd say the same thing as above, you're doing WAY to much work with all down strokes. SOME songs need it, it has a unique sound, but most of the time you're doing too much of the "guitar hero downstroke" I've see so many newer guitarists do. Learn to strum/pick both ways.

also, the pre-chorus, where you're doing the (what I'm assuming) 8th notes of:

9, 7-6-7. 6 7-6-7, 7, 7-6-7, 6 7-6-7 etc... the 'faster notes...

I just picked up an acoustic guitar and did what you just did easier by attacking the 9, then 7, then pulling off and hammering on, attacking the 6, then the 7, pulling off and hammering on.. make sense?

See the pattern? Try that and see if it 'flows' better. If I remember that song correctly, you want each not to ring clear but you don't want the sound of having the note 'picked,' which makes it a staccato (punctuated and short)... but want those 7-6-7's to flow into each other.

I don't care for country either, but check out what I did here;
