I'm teaching someone to play guitar...who is very much a virgin to the concept lol, what are some ideas for some really basic songs that I could give for him to practice using preferably major chords?
major scales, and finger excersises, and simple power chord songs if he wants to get right to playing songs.

you're not gonna want to take a dump in a gross, off-colored, vintage toilet. you want something that is white and pearly; something that shines. something that you can put your cheeks against and say, "f*** yeah"
Show them some basic chords like G, A, Am, D, E, Em etc.

Then teach them a song incorporating simple chord changes like Knocking on Heavens Door or A Day In the Life.

Or better yet, have them tell you a song, then teach them the chords (provided the song doesn't have a bunch of compex chord changes or anything like that).

Epic post. Wish I could say more, but I don't know much about the subconscious and other psychological stuff.
