I currently use a MXR D+ on the crunch channel my Marshall DSL50 with the gain all the way up and the output and distortion all the way up on the pedal. This sounds really decent but I'd like to look into a even better sounding distortion pedal, a little more gain and more of a clean boost rather a fuzz. Budget for now is < 125, willing to go used!

Basically: I love the MXR but would like to upgrade to a pedal that sounds similar, but better as the MXR is a little muddy and fuzzy.

Between Randy Rhoads and Mick Mars and Van Halen. Basically a good heavy hair metal sound. Not really looking at boss as I have the OD1 and it sucks bass big time.
