Simple thing, which Bare Knuckle humbucker is the best for brootal stuff and can clean up well?

Since my guitar is set up with HSS config., What would be the best single coil set of 2. Use for clean and bluesy solos/metal solos.

Looking for: Overall versatility, because i need to play in a death metal band and a church praise band. Ironic, huh?

Time to get rid of those stock pups~

TS... what styles of music?

Painkillers - great for br00talz, doesn't clean up that AWESOME. It will work.. but not so great.

Nailbombs - great for harmonics, but not so awesome for the br00talz.

What you want is a Miracle Man, though its got a slight mid-scoop... the Roadking will more than make up for it. The Miracle Man is awesome for alder... but so is the Painkiller.

It just depends which you are willing to compromise more on. If you're ok for great cleans and great brootalz, Miracle Man.

If you want awesome balls-to-the-walls br00talz and reasonably good cleans... Painkiller.

You can coil split the Miracle Man... you just need a DPDT volume pot. Ask TIm Mills for his wiring schematic... he should have one.

But if you want to have fendery cleans... I'd go for the Miracle Mans.

For the Single Coils... get the Sinner for the neck and middle if you want a beefier and chunkier sound.

If you want a shreddier sound to match the Miracle man, get the Trilogy Suite for the neck and middle.

i don't think the miracle man is what he wants. i'd ask over at the BKP forum for advice.
I'm an idiot and I accidentally clicked the "Remove all subscriptions" button. If it seems like I'm ignoring you, I'm not, I'm just no longer subscribed to the thread. If you quote me or do the @user thing at me, hopefully it'll notify me through my notifications and I'll get back to you.

I'll have to put the Classic T models on my to-try list. Shame the finish options there are Anachronism Gold, Nuclear Waste and Aged Clown, because in principle the plaintop is right up my alley.

Presumably because the CCF (Combined Corksniffing Forces) of MLP and Gibson forums would rise up against them, plunging the land into war.

i've heard very very good br00tz from painkillers, cold sweats and nailbombs. I would personally just email bareknuckle, they are very friendly and informative when it comes to recommendations.

Like mine - Grab the Trilogy/Cold Sweat set.

Great cleans and versatility - especially from a high output set (I'm not into high output - but these can do everything - though sound modern)

I have a set of Miracle Mans and a set of Nailbombs...

The Miracle Mans are good for middle of the road rocky sounds, and good old NWOBHM/early Thrash, whereas the Nailbombs are a bit more beefy and have the heavier metal sounds down. Miracle Mans + British Voiced Amp = Tonal Sex. I haven't tried it, but I imagine the same would be true of American Amps and Nailbombs.

I LOVE playing metal. Death metal/hardcore/melodeath etc. Iss good stuff.
I haff to plaay in a church praise band where a good clean would be appreciated.

What about Warpigs?

If not BKP, what other type of pickups should I get?
I live in the US, but I dont mind international buys.
Try to keep it under 500 USD. (shouldnt be a problem)

oh, if you're in the states you have a lot of options, things like wolfetone, wcr, etc. etc. etc. I haven't tried any of them

The Warpigs are very rhthmn oriented pickups... very good thump and chug to the pickup, but not so great for leads. If you want some lead sounds out of it, you can get it loaded with a ceramic pickup instead of an alnico V.

If you wanna look at other pickup makers....
