After a recent change in my preferred tone, I decided to swap my 81 with the 85 back into it's original place in the bridge. The 85 sounds totally normal, but the 81 only sounds slightly overdriven after turning on my Metal Muff. What did I do?

Is the quick connect in all the way?

Dying battery?

Please go away if you don't know what you're talking about.

TS, it sounds like it's not connected all the way. A dying battery would probably effect both pups.

You told him to throw his pickups in the trash. You're being an ass and obviously don't know what you're talking about.

Nemo, did you fix it? Like others have said check the quick-connect, the battery and possibly loose wires.

If he's saying the 85 is fine but not the 81, it may not be the battery but a bad wiring job. Then again, is the system a one batt, or two?

Ah, man. This thread went to hell in a han basket while I was gone.

Yeah, after further inspection it appears the connector was flipped upside down. Thanks for the help, guys.
