The movies are compared all the time, but how often to we compare the music of the movies?

In-case any of you want to brush up on which tracks are from which movies, here are the end credits tracks for each, which contain the prominent themes from the movie.

Episode I

Episode II

Episode III

Episode IV

Episode V

Episode VI

Personally, I'm torn between 2 and 4.

Edit: The only reason to vote for 5 is darth vader's theme.

Buy fresh sliced deli ham and stop being a bitch. Also, never microwave ham ever, it's in strict violation of ham law.

While Episode IV did not have the famous G Minor Darth Vader theme, it DID have the Cantina Jazz band....

It's really hard to choose, since they all have great moments, I really like lukes theme when he's watching the sunset in Episode IV but they all have great moments, I'm calling it a 6 way tie.

Yeah, IV had its fantastic moments.

I think IV is so great because it has that "nostalgic" feel. Even though the script doesn't really play it out, the soundtrack makes you feel like you've known these characters forever. As soon as you "met" them, on screen, you knew their names, and could sense their personality.

I still like V more. It says, "Hey, you know these characters, they're in heavy shit, and things are getting dark". That soundtrack has some of the most epic moments in cinematic musical history. It's so dark, yet very soft in a lot of ways. Just set the entire mood of the film the absolute best a soundtrack could. It's so gripping.

Listen to TheBlessed Dead. The man is a genius. There should be a man of genius song about him. Stephen Hawking has nothing on TheBlessed Dead.

Definitely 4. If Jar Jar and the Pod Racing had been taken out of the movie it would have easily been the second best one. Score and all.

Yeah. I bought (well, nagged my stepdad to buy) that one for that track

II? Are you serious? That was one of the worst films I've ever seen? Too much drama, and the action was cheap. V all the way.

I and II were both crap in nearly every respect. I don't even remember any of the music from them (granted, I haven't watched them in years, I can't subject myself to that kind of thing).

IV and V are just the type of movies that could work with music alone.

The video posted before, with the isolated score, is the best things I've found on Youtube ever, and I thank whoever posted that immensely.

The entire original trilogy could have worked as silent films. The music tells the story just as much as the characters do. It's fantastic.

Listening though V right now on Youtube.

I had forgotten about that piece.

ESB. It's all awesome. The only bad thing about it is that it lacks the metal bikini.
