That's idiotic as hell. I hate this whole idea that Obama is going to ruin healthcare and is being sly about it. He openly told others that he was going to make health care reforms so health care wasn't going to be into be strictly into the hands of the market system.

Sounds about right. He's doing everything wrong, and not in the way Fox news means. He's not liberal enough. He has those dicktards Geithner and Summers screwing everything up, and he isn't pushing very hard for the public option, which he was very supportive of during his campaign.

You mean people like the ideals but not the compromises he has to make due to the taxophobic American right wing?

Some people like him for what he represents, but disagree with his ideas. Some people agree with him but don't like the guy. Some people are just racist idiots.

Registered conservatives are only around 36% of all voters, and liberals are around 40% from the last thing I read a couple years ago, I don't think it's changed much. It's independents that don't like him now

I don't get it. In general - americans would get cheaper healthcare, and everyone except the executives would profit from it- and they turn it DOWN!?

He is no different then any other lying president. The public option will only be available for 5 years...then it's off to the gulag if you don't buy Their health care.

sorry for the double post but...

obama dropped because there are hundreds of thousands of people who expect change to happen instantly. it'll take a good 5-10 years for this economy to bounce back. i know people who hate him because he didnt fix things overnight.

Most people probably don't even know whats in the overall health plan other than it's really ****ing expensive.

Cut your frankly ridiculous expenditure on fighting a war in Iraq and Afghanistan and suddenly the price becomes redundant.

It'll actually cost less the Obama thought. $849 billion over 10 years but the bright side is that it will reduce our deficit by $127 billion. Sounds like a good deal to me because they deficit would only increase if we did nothing at all.

It would reduce because he would tax the shit out of people who aren't using the public option. The deficit would stop increasing if you stop spending so much money.

He isn't taxing the sh*t out of anyone who can't handle it. It's a 0.5% tax increase on people who make $250k+ a year. I'm sorry, but I wish I made $250k a year and a half percent tax increase was my biggest problem. Plus alot of people in that range are small business owners and basically with the public option it'll be easier and cheaper to provide coverage for their employees.

Why are the rich paying for everyone else? I would love for everyone to have healthcare, but only if everyone pays for it.

Because they can survive without buying private islands, dinosaur skulls, and meteorites. Also, everyone who has the public option will still pay for it. It's not universal healthcare.

Of course it becomes expensive when at the same time you have to fund a pointless war with two countries that has been going on for 8 years now.
