I have a Marshall Valvestate VS102R which I got from my Uncle when he bought a new amp. I don't know how long he had it for etc, but I've had it for 2 or 3 years now.

Anyway, recently, when you play a note on the first or second string, it like splits into like 2 notes which are both like a semitone out from the one your trying to play. Also like a buzzing sound kinda all the time.

The Problem stopped when I didn't use it for a week (a nice surprise when I went out to play this morning) but after about half an hour, it started happening again.

It only happens on the clean channel. (which I use the most with pedals.)

Is it dying? Can I fix it? Should I get it serviced? Where?

Thank you so much in advance.

I got my sister pregnant once. Yeah, that was awkward, but mostly because she's 6 years younger than me.

How much etc.

I hate to say it, but I'm like a complete n00b with anything to do with amps.
