Im looking for a Virtual Piano program for pc,to use for writing songs. I really cant play a piano well enough to record a real one so i need a program where i can write in the notes and it will play that.

Anyone know of any.

it wouldn't surprise me if UG goes down within the next couple months, along with other privately owned sites

Sibelius is the best notation program.

You can also use step and graphic based sequencing to input notes in digital audio workstations.

...modes and scales are still useless.

Erm, the DAW Reaper has a virtual midi keyboard. Load a piano VST (DSK Acoustic Keyz is free and you can get some good sounds if you tweak it a bit) and you're set to go.

I think this is what you mean, not sure.
