Bought myself a wee Hofner Shorty travel guitar for taking offshore with me, also bought a line 6 guitar port so now i can practice in my cabin at nights.

Pictures are a bit sh1t but its the best i can do i'm affraid

Put one of the shorty alongside my angus young sg for comparison. The necks are the same length, its just the body of the hofner that is small.

How does that really take up less space?
surely if you can take that you can take the SG.

Happy new guitar day though, i really do love hofner design

The design would be easier to fit in say...the side of a suit case? =p

i fly up and down the country a couple of times a month and have to fly offshore on choppers so i needed something that will fit in the overhead storage on the plane and wont take up all the room in the hold of the chopper.

Had a play around with it last night, its alot easier to play standing up than sitting down thats for sure.
