Anyone tried this interface?

It's getting great reviews and is very much affordable and I'll probably get it soon to record my guitars/vocals and maybe some MIDI I/O. Just wanted to check if anyone had any experiences with this piece of equipment and whether I should pay attention to something specifically.

Yep, they're meant to be pretty good.

If you're using the same machine (assuming its a desktop) all the time though, you can get the PCI version for half the price.

Good idea, it's indeed only 100 Euros for the PCI card. However would I be correct if I said that it doesnt have MIC inputs? I only see MIDI, Jacks and SPDIF I/O's when I check out the PCI card.

recently got the 0202 for a school project....teacher purchased it however install was crazy hard, driver errors left and left.
when it is working though it is a very nice unit and one of few USB 2.0 devices out there.

I still think I got a broken interface though...I'm working with EMU to fix it this week.

Well spotted, I thought they were the same, USB also has phantom power and the PCI doesn't.

One to remember for next time I guess

Okido, just wanted to make sure my assumptions are correct, I'm still very new to all this recording mumbojumbo. Thanks alot for the advice, I'll be ordering the USB interface (+ an SM57) today and let you know how it feels.

I bought it two months ago, and I love it. I only wish I have Windows XP on the laptop, since Vista sucks for audio software and drivers. I bought the external version. I record everything through it, run a lot of VST's in the same time.

The card has it's own power supply, and acts good. It's not hard to install, but can be tricky as any other card if you have Vista...it kinda hates audio drivers hahaha Sometimes, the audio drivers crash, and I have to restart the PC from time to time to get the audio drivers running again.

Buut, an external card working on a laptop can be a good review by itself
