I've currently got a Farida DK 28Q for a guitar at the moment. It looks amazing but the sound is terrible. Im thinking of getting a new guitar and can anyone tell me what guitar would be great for metal/speed metal? I dont really want to edit it

P.s I would rather a fixed bridge, as i don't use my floyd rose very much

if the sound is the only thing that bothers u, have u considered just replacing the pickups? then u can take the rest of the money and get some pedals

...o, nm...no like floyds huh.

well we need a budget, and a list of a few bands u want to kind of sound like...
Mesa F-30 - 1x12 V30
PRS SE Custom 24 (GFS Crunchy PATs)
PRS SE Singlecut (Evo/Air Norton)
1989 Starforce (GFS PowerRails)
Morley Tremonti Power Wah, TS7 (808-Mod), Pitchblack, Boss DD-3, DE FnC

Currently I play through a cube 15X 15W. Bands i want to sound like are Iron maiden, Sonata Arctica and other melodic metal bands

I'm interested in Dean, Ibanez, Cort and ESP at the moment

Get a Cort. Do it.
They are cheap and play well.

For your cube, try the R-Fier amp, and turn the gain all the way up, bass about just after half, mids just before half and treble quarter of the way round. That gives me an amazing tone on my 30W, and gives a decent clean tone.

My Budget is £300-400

Ellis. Maybe Series 2 Les Paul. Maybe a V. Maybe an Explorer. Maybe a Mantis 1
They all start below £300 so room for better pups if you want.

I think any guitar with a thin, wide flat neck profile and two humbuckers would serve your purposes rather nicely- look into any of the super strats by Jackson, ESP or Ibanez

ESP LTD vipers are nice along with all of their other models. Schecters would also be good to look into.

Might I recommend the SteelDeville

or the Steelcaster

Not just made for metal, made OF metal. But honestly you should be a little more specific than just metal. What sort of metal? What bands? Whats your budget? Whats your amp?

I have the exact same amp as you and let me tell you, I used to be stupid and have my gain all the way up too, then I realised it was killing my tone and turned it down to 7-8 and now Im a much happier person.

Actually, I have thought about the Ibanez RG321EX, The Ibanez RGA42, Dean ML 79 and BC Rich. Ive never played a BC Rich as ive never found them in stores, do you guys know what they're like?

All of the BC Richs I have played did no impress me all that much. I suppose you're paying for style over substance though. Its important to note that stores like Guitar Center rarely if ever carry their upper echelon of products, so my judgment may be unfair. If you are to get a BC Rich, I would look into the higher end of their line, personally I like the Mockingbird

Low end BC Riches you'd want to look else where tbh. The models I played were horrendous and had poor quality, makes my epiphone g310 look decent.
