whatever feels comfortable to you. I use .10-.46 on a strat copy and i play blues/rock.

10-46 is perfect. There's no reason to go with a thicker gauge unless you're going to change tunings. Maybe try nickle plated strings. Then you'll hear a difference from the strings, rather than the tension from the gauge.

There is no string gauge for genres but their is for tuning. If you are in standard, 9s or 10s will do fine, but if you are tuning lower you might wanna go a bit thicker.
