So I bought this guitar brand new back in February. I can't seem to get the action to where I like it. I have taken it to two local shops to get professionally set up, and the action is so stiff. Literally like hard rock, I can't bend or play leads comfortably.

Chords sound good, but are hard to play.

What can I do to adjust it to my liking?

Thanks!

by "the action is so stiff" do you mean the strings are too stiff. In which case ^ a lower string gauge is the way forward. What do you have on there at the moment? Also sounds like a silly question but what is your finger/hand strength like, it may just be that you need to train up.

Is the action too high for your liking because that's a different matter?

I actually strum and pick quite hard, I have 10-46 gauge.

Which is pretty standard I think.
