ok, so im a beginner, and im looking for some songs to learn
im sure there are some songs that are easy to play and show you new skills instantly, to give you an idea of my skill level, the hardest riff i can play is the intro of hand of blood, and i can only get it nicely sometimes.

thanks

Some atreyu would probably be about at your level. The Crimson is pretty simple. Same for Right Side Of the Bed. And as for Bullet songs Tears Don't Fall is always a crowd pleaser.

Metallica - Enter Sandman (but the solo might be a bit hard just yet)
ACDC - shook me all night (easy with a nice pentatonic solo)
Metallica - Nothing Else Matters (fingerpicking and a pretty easy solo)
Led Zep - Stairway (I think this ones compulsory plus its a cool pentatonic solo (with an added F or 2) and good for fingerpicking)
Bowie - Ziggy Stardust (not really metal but pretty easy and fun to play)

Try the intro to 8th Commandment by Sonata Arctica. It's quite easy and really improves your picking speed

Why would you spend tens of thousands of dollars to learn about a language you already speak? It was over before it even started dude

exactly. He listed a Bullet song for his example so I went in that direction. And yes, it's still metal. NOt as heacy as some would like but it is still metal.

^seek and destroy definately. Easiest metallica song evar.

cept the solo and the fast part is a bit tricky

But it's easy, it's fsking awesome loud, a must to learn

through struggle and collision by as i lay dying
alot of metallica minus (most) solos
slipknot shit is usually easy
the chorus riff to byob by soad helped me alot

go with any system of a down song (ariels is the first song i ever learned)
and korns thoughtless is cool and gives u practice on drop tuning and multi part phrasing...
just remember they use seven string guitars(with the low string 7 lower) but i just played it anyway so **** the note nazis!
and simple metallica song intros like One or Fade to black will have you sounding gangster in only an hour or so of practice if that...
if you want to really work at sounding like the shit try Laid to Rest's intro by Lamb of God. That will impress any guitar player worth his chops and not over 30 years old, but its not ez at all...So... practice!!! metal is the art of impressing!!!

Stick with BFMV (all of their material is for the most part quite easy to play, ignoring a few solos)

My suggestions : (Artist + album)

As I Lay Dying - Frail Words Collapse
Killswitch Engage - Killswitch Engage, Alive or Just Breathing

I prefer barbed wire strings. I find I can get the most br00t41 tonez with it.
