I'm really considering to buy a Gibson Flying V instead of a Razorback, the quality seems amazing for the price (Roughly 1050$)

I mainly play Hendrix/Zeppelin/Pantera/Metallica - the stock pups are probably not that awesome for metal, so what would you recommend in case i should change them?

Also, It's lacking a trem but I'll have to live with that.

the 500T in the bridge of the V is ceramic and from what i've heard not bad at all for heavier stuff. like all guitars through a metal voiced amp it will handle metal. I am massively unimpressed with Razorbacks, uncomfortable and an LFR? really? If I had to choose I'd take the V even though I still think it's a lot of money on an over priced guitar.
What gear are you using right now and what genres do you play?

It's a price I'm willing to pay though

And some cheap LTD guitar / Danelectro delay pedal which i do not dare to link.

Edit: As you can see above, i mainly play Trashy stuff, along with a bit of hendrix and zeppelin

no, get neither, do not drop a 1000 on a guitar to play it through such a low end amp. upgrade your amp first.
I recommend looking at the Bugera 6260 or 1990.

You see, the problem is that my LTD's headstock isn't actually attached to the guitar anymore - So, a new amp won't help me much :>

gibson vs are great i love mine, infact the faded vs are a good bargin, the pickups handle metal supprisingly well, its a tad muddy if you use alot of bass. but the faded just has a faded paint job which actually brings out a better tone from the guitar, always with a gibson now adays id suggest playing the guitar first the quality control has gone down a bit in recent years, we actually have to set up alot of the gibsons at the shop now when they arrive which wasnt an issue till last year
