Would a Seymour Duncan SH-1 and SH-5 be good for Pinkerton era Weezer? If not, do you have any other suggestions?

it depends on the amp you play and many other factors but i would say those would be good. you might also want to look into a jazz or 59 pickup by SD.

Uhh... no offense meant to be taken but the SH-1 the original poster mentioned IS actually a '59.

I'd say that's a pretty good combination for pickups. Remember there is a lot more tone in your fingers then you may think and the pickups aren't going to affect the tone as much as the way you play.
