First of all, sorry if this is in the wrong part of the forum, as I'm new to this forum. However it seems quite friendly and helpful.

Anyway, I am considering 2 different types of Epiphone Les Paul. One is the Black Beauty Custom with 3 pickups, or a regular Standard Plus-top.

I will be running it through a 50W Acoustic Solutions JE50 amplifier.

I have managed to find a place to buy the Standard for £220 or the Black Beauty for £260.

I haven't been playing very long, and my main musical influences/interests are Nirvana, Guns n' Roses, Velvet Revolver etc.

If anybody has any suggestions and advice on choosing the right guitar (I probably won't get another for a fair few years after this) for me, I would greatly appreciate it.

Many thanks,
I personally belive that a third humbucker is too much on a les paul,

if you can you should try them all out and see what's best for you, you can read as much as you like about guitars but you'll only know for yourself if you really try them.
^what he said.

theyre both sweet sounding, though ive never played either. Play them both and feel what is better for you
