You have pretty much got the intro down. The only things i can think of is if you could try and get a smoother distortion and the harmonics after the drums and the bass come in are barely audible.

this cover made me want to go out and freaking BUY it.

The clean guitar tone at the very end was so nice!
and the bass riff was smooth too.

Nah man, this is an older song off of "There is Nothing Left to Lose". Classic song. I'd just suggest working on a couple timing issues, good tone though!
