Getting kinda tired of the "Pick string and wait a minute" games I have to do with my Boss TU-80 tuner, so was wondering if there were any tuners in the under-£50 bracket that offered an immediate representation of my pitch? Chromatic would be nice.

Everyone uses it, simply because it's the best and it's damn cheap.

Unless you are talking a stomp box tuner. In that case, Boss's is really nice, as well as Korg's.
Only play what you hear. If you don’t hear anything, don’t play anything.

The Korg looks like the sorta thing I'm after! The stomp box tuners look cool, but at the moment a bit out of my price range.
Thanks!

I second all of this. We use the CA30 at work, great tuner for $20.

Used the CA30 for going on 3 years now, I'd definitely suggest it.

Used Pitchblack or TU-2 might be in your price range. I'd go for the Pitchblack between those two since its true-bypass. However, it's very doubtful either one would be in your range, so I'd suggest looking for a Planet Waves pedal tuner. They don't hold their value as well and are just as good as the Boss or Korg. Its also true-bypass, which is a definate plus.

Having a look at some demo vids, the Pitchblack looks awesome, I think I'll save a bit and get that instead.
Thanks again!
