Just thought I'd let anyone who hasn't heard yet this terrible news. Dio has been diagnosed with the early stages of stomach cancer, hence why he cancelled his tour at the last minute.

Get well soon Dio, our thoughts are with you...

Hope it doesn't effect him to much, I got to see him with heaven and hell over the summer

not to be a douche but how can cancer not effect you?

They say they've got it in the early stages and are starting treatment right away, so fingers crossed the early detection saves him. I had tickets to see him in Manchester last Friday and was so gutted it was cancelled, but much more importantly I hope he gets better.

Dio rox to hard to die!

My mom was diagnosed with Stage 2 malignant breast cancer a few months ago. They removed the tumor and began Chemotherapy immediately. She has completed chemo and is due to start radiation treatment soon. Fortunately, the tumor had not metasticized to her lymph nodes, which was a very good sign. They are utilizing chemo and radiation treatment to assure that any remaining cancer cells or cells that are cancer prone will be destroyed so that she has the best chance for permanent recovery.

In this way, the cancer (so far) has affected her in the least capacity possible. Her only complaints have been issues with food tasting funny, and constant fatigue, which are both side effects of chemo.

We can only hope that Dio has similar fortune with his cancer.
