Hey everyone, Im lookin to get my first tube amp and I want something thats very versatile. I want an amp that can play blues (BB King, SRV) Classic Rock (Zeppelin, Clapton, Hendrix, Beatles, Queen, AC/DC) heavy metal (Black Sabbath, Dio, Randy Rhoads, Iron Maiden) and other various forms of metal, as well as Punk, Grunge and Alternative. I'm also looking for an amp that has more of a british voicing, or an amp that does both american and british.

Here are a few amps I've been checking out

Wow thats alot of options... I honestly REALLY like how the Mesa Stiletto Ace sounds

You'll never get an amp more versatile than the Mesa Road King. Try it.
Gear :

Ibanez RG2570 (has yet to post pics)
Crap Wal-Mart guitar that came in a 70 buck starters pack.
Marshall MG15, I know

All of those tones can be covered by the Electra Dyne and it sounds ****ing great. The Stiletto is cool but IMO, for those tones, the Electra Dyne blows it away.
E-peen:
Rhodes Gemini
Fryette Ultra Lead
Peavey 6505
THD Flexi 50

Gibson R0 Prototype
EBMM JP13 Rosewood
Fender CS Mary Kaye

WTLT

Couple comments.

The VK isn't in the same class as any of those amps without some upgrades. Don't even consider it unless you're willing to get it modded. It would be more cost-effective to go for the VK 112, used, instead, and get it upgraded. That way, you could have a killer tube amp for less than $500.

The Fender Twin can't do metal on its own, or anything beyond clean cleans. The AC30 isn't going to get metal on its own, either. You'd require a pedal in either case. I figure you'd need one for the Kustom as well.

Any of the Mesas would do pretty much everything you listed well, so would the JSX and the JVM. At that price bracket, though, it's not about how high the tone quality is (although this is somewhat debatable) but what you have instead are different flavours of high quality tone.

Look into used JCM 800s and Plexi clones (Ceriatone, Metroamp) with attenuators.

JCM800, or a DSL100.

JVM to me is pretty "mushy", sounds more like an orange than a marshall in my opinion, but if your into that thing i can respect that
Guitars:
Gibson Les Paul Standard
Gibson Explorer New Century
Gibson RD Artist
Fender American Standard Telecaster

Amps:

Framus Cobra
Marshall JCM800 2203 - 1960A

Pedals:

Crybaby 535Q
Rockbox Boiling Point Overdrive

Anyway, out of that lot, personally for versatility I'd go for the Peavey JSX - I was astounded when I tried that out.

Why not seek and try a Blackstar - the HT5 in either combo or mini-stack version should give you what you need. It's only 5 watts but given the right cab the head can just hold its own in a rehearsal with full on acoustic drum kit and bass - mic'd its great for any gig. It also does Brit and USA sounds and it isn't expensive. Not in the UK anyway.

my vote goes to a DSL 100, its not only versatile, but has a distinct british sound, unlike the mesa.
periphery/bulb!

gear:
Ibanez RG7321 w/ D-sonic in bridge

Peavey 5150 mk ii & b52 4x12 cab

line 6 podxt for recording

Head and Cab for $130? You don't need a head and cabinet, you need a psychological examination.

Either twin amp or valve king.

He's looking at Roadsters and Twin Reverbs and you recommend an HT-5
TS what's your budget really? If you can go for the Roadster I'd definitely do that

I really must be missing something here. The price range on these amps is a couple of grand. How much do you want to spend?
