So the other day I bought some Breaking Benjamin songs off the rock band music store. For as much as I like the real instruments I still enjoy playing plastic ones every now and then. Anyways while I was playing the songs I hear this very distinct emptiness. I realized the entire rhythm guitar track was completely taken out of the song. Why? Is the rhythm guitar just not that important? I know not a whole lot of people wouldn't play the Rhythm track but there's no excuse for not putting it in the mix. The rhythm guitar provides the foundation for the lead. Any thoughts as to why this vital track is missing?

Suspect drugs.

The rhythm track is not as interesting for a five-buttoned controller.

Also, I can't honestly take you seriously with that saying in your sig.

Okay guys, I have a confession to make. Not really a confession since it's something that's been bugging me for awhile but I've always been in denial about it.

They always amplify certain parts so you can hear them better. Sometimes things get turned down too much, sadly.

They messed up Re-Education (Through Labor) too. Shame it happens to such good songs sometimes.

Yeah, every Rise Against song I've played on there sounds wrong. Like on Prayer of the Refugee, the octave-slide line is the only thing you can hear in the chorus.

I actually didn't mind that one so much. I hear that part over all the others in even the recorded version.

Good, I hate country so much.

Not all country is the same. Get over yourself.

This. I don't really like country music either, but that doesn't mean it's crap. I still respect it as a genre of music, just like any other.
Only play what you hear. If you don’t hear anything, don’t play anything.

Maybe they took it out of the Breaking Benjamin song, because if they kept the rhythm in the mix, you'd only need to use one button.

Even as a fan of Breaking Benjamin, I can't argue. Ben keeps it pretty simple when he's trying to sing.

Nah nothing wrong with simplicity. If the writing is good, simplicity will sound good.
But just sayin.

well. For all I know, on GH, you CAN play rhythm guitar, no matter how boring it was to make it. Maybe you were being deaf?
