So I'm trying to figure out what I would rather have, an acoustic guitar (nothing crazy expensive) or a set of Zakk Wylde EMGs for $185.
I want to get the EMGs but I would be putting them in a B.C. Rich Warlock I bought for $200 new a few months ago.
So does anybody think that would be a dumb investment and should just get an acoustic guitar?

Thanks

Well all I have now is a Line 6 Spider III 15W, but hoping to maybe upgrade sometime in the near future.
Would it better to upgrade my amp first then start thinking about emgs?

Yes. Yes. 1000 times yes!!!

Upgrade your amp.

Pickups have slight change in sound compared to an amp change.

True.

A Vypyr 30 would be a good improvement.

You CAN play anything with anything....but some guitars sound right for some things, and not for others. Single coils sound retarded for metal, though those who are apeshit about harpsichord probably beg to differ.
