So, I just wrote this riff, but it doesn't fit any of the scales that I know.
The riff itself is:

A|-0-5-5---5/7---8----7---5-5-5-|
E|-0-2/3-0-3/5-0-6--0-5-0-3-2/3-|

- which'd be 1 2 3b 4 5b. Like E Dorian or E Aeolian with a flattened fifth. What's this scale called?

Dont take my word on it but i would look at it as in E Minor and just consider the A# you're playing a chromatic note. But as i said im not positive.

That's diminished. b3 and b5 = diminished.
