Weed is my main influence. That's pretty much it. As far as bands I would say Every Time I Die or Shai Hulud.
AK-47. The very best there is. When you absolutely, positively got to kill every motherfucker in the room, accept no substitutes.

It's comical because you are clearly an average to below-average bear.

This is what I wrote on the myspace for my band:

"Rites of Spring, Moss Icon, Lifetime, Dag Nasty, Ampere, Orchid, Daitro, Gorilla Biscuits, ...Who Calls So Loud, Fall of Efrafa, His Hero Is Gone, Shook Ones, Unbroken, generally music from the 90's and various albums from abroad that could be labeled "emo" by people who actually know what that word means."

I think it's accurate for when I'm writing emo or post-rock kind of stuff with hardcore flavor. When I write heavy junk I mostly take influence from the likes of Integrity, Unbroken, Acme, Acrid, Unbroken, Tragedy, Void, Judge, Union of Uranus, Chris Colo-bands, and Unbroken. When I'm writing really fast junk I just try to be as much like Infest and Negative Approach as possible.

I have a few different groups, depending on what I'm writing, so I'll separate them here:

1. Acoustic stuff. See: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rfogCnsRsgA
American Football, Algernon Cadwallader, Andy McKee, Justin King, Mississippi John Hurt, Tommy Emmanuel

2. Stupid heavy. See: http://www.myspace.com/poprocksgoboom
Weekend Nachos, Bitter End, Magrudergrind, Rotten Sound, Brutal Truth, Pulling Teeth, Black Sheep Wall, Integrity

3. Other stuff/instrumental guitar stuff. See: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5tlbYMirwWQ
Devin Townsend, Opeth, Allan Holdsworth, Scale the Summit, Steve Vai, Between the Buried and Me, Miles Davis

i believe its best for hardcore bands not to get influenced by hardcore bands, because your songs will sound exactly like them.

It varies for me. I have a bad/good habit (it's either/or sometimes) of writing in a similar style of a band(s) that I'm listening to at the moment.

I thought the whole idea of post-hardcore was to mix techno and hardcore.....

It's pretty much Botch for me, but since I can't copy them even if I wanted, my stuff doesn't really sound similar.
