So I'm curious as to what songs the Pit has cherished in their memories. You know, that first dance with that beautiful girl, or making out with some chick at a party. Well I want to know the songs that were playing during your special moments

For me The Joker by Steve Miller Band

Any song by the band Travis makes me reminisce about a summer a long time ago.

Some Britney Spears song was playing when I lost my virginity to Jessica Alba at age 4.

She was 4? Dude... that's child rape.

Rain - Trivium
Salvation, The Heart Of It All - Chimaira
Goliaths Disarm Their Davids - InFlames
Laid To Rest, Dead Seeds - Lamb of God
Cubicles - MCR
Left Behind - Slipknot

I used to have my iPod on when I should've been socializing, resulting in songs being tied to memories of the scenery around where I was standing...

Don't worry. I have songs like that too.
Simon And Garfunkle-Bride Over Troubled Water is the song I went to the most during that time. I can't see it the same way anymore.

Yeah, that sucks... I wasn't contemplating suicide but listening excessively to one artist when depressed = artist ruined

Yeah for sure.
But the good thing is that when you are down again (hopefully not suicidal again, that can't be good), that song seems to have it's place for you. It's like a rehabilitation center. You relate to the song and you are set free with the song. You always have that song welcoming you to shed some tears.

I had my girlfriend (now ex) fooling around behind my back, and while I wasn't suicidal (girls don't make me that way thankfully), that song still helped.

Well, I still listen to Elliott Smith, great music it is, but it brings back some past feelings.

Weirdly enough,

AC/DC - Rock n' Roll Dream

It's not a fond memory, but I remember listening to that song while building houses in the sims 2

I can't hear the following without thinking of my ex-girlfriend:

Muse
the Used
Mayday Parade*

*= I'm not really a fan of Mayday Parade, but she was a big fan, and a lot of people are around here, so I hear them a lot.
He's a freak of nature, but we love him so.

Music isn't the Olympics. It's not about showing other people what you can do with a piece of wood in your hands that has strings on, it's about making sounds that are good.

Octavarium brings back memories of the time I had sex to it

Violent Pornography by SOAD always makes me think of when my band finished out first show with it because it was such a perfect moment, it went so well and people were going mental because we were the last band of the night and it was out last song.

Hands Held High by Linkin Park always reminds me of a school trip to London when I was 12 or so and I listened to it loads (I had bad taste when I was younger). That was a fun week..
You're using UG classic, congratulations.

Svart Djup - Finntroll - Makes me remember a few weeks where nothing bothered me. I was content and happy and nothing was able to bring me down.

If It Means A Lot To You - A Day To Remember - A friend of mine would always play this on her phone. We liked each other and went out (lasted like a week) but it made us better friends afterwards.

Runnin' (Original) - 2Pac ft. The Notorious B.I.G., Stretch, Dramacydal & Buju Banton - Coming home from my brothers first apartment, made me realize how awesome life is.

Hysteria - Def Leppard - Kind of the same as the second one. This was when I liked her a lot, before I asked her out and it seemed like it was the only song that would come up when I put my iPod on shuffle. It was also the last song I heard on the radio on the way to her house one day

There's more but that's all I can think of at the moment.
