So I made a song where I used a technique called "slam" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=en-3oL2c0uU) (though I'm nowhere as near as good) and I think it's pretty decent, though it has many mistakes, but don't let that disturb you (or let if you will). I just wanted to make something different.

LOL, for some reason the impression I get from you is like some wacky Frank Zappa of metal pulling pranks at the Grammys and telling crude jokes during interviews.

Hey nice playing man. It seems like you had a few good ideas in there. I would recommend practicing this song with a metronome and rerecording it. It sounds great, but there is some hesitation and timing isn't always constant. I like the laid back feel of it though. I would definitely keep working with that style. maybe grow out your nails a bit to get them in on the action to give yourself slightly sharper sound. but I like the composition and now I may have to learn to do that myself!

if you could crit my acoustic song that'd be great
and I may sound a bit hypocritical telling you to use a metronome when the song I'm asking you to crit slows and speeds a lot, but that was one of the purposes of my song https://www.ultimate-guitar.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1232182&highlight=ambient
I smile because I have no idea whats goin on

the percussion alongside your playing is refreshing, this sounds like a faster Iron and Wine. Its a little off time in a few places but its still definetly passable. The extended chords are nice as well, they save the progression from being trite. If you record anything else acoustic like this I would reccomend moving away from the mic a little, theres some clipping in a few places.

Did anyone else think Taylor Swift? lol

It wasn't bad, I enjoyed it. I think you need to work on your technique a little bit though. Not much else to add too that, just practise :p
