Hey guys, I just thought I'd get you to help me with my acoustic tone, this isn't refined at all it's just direct right now, give it a listen and tell me whats wrong or right about it and what i should add/decrease to improve upon it.

Is that mic'ed or DI'ed?

Partscaster/Tele into a bunch of pedals, a Maz 18 head, and a Z Best cab.

It's direct just a cord into the toneport

I have all the equipment to mic it except for a good mic ;D

Not much help to be had here, then, I don't think, although I could be wrong. Most of us mic our instruments, or some mic and DI them. It gets a lot more of the acoustic tone. With the Ovation, you may get better results plugged in anyways.

Add a little reverb, and maybe some chorus and that's all I would really do.

I really like this set:

It is what I use when I record, and it is hard to find a much better bang for your buck (especially at those sale prices!). The only caveat is that they require phantom power, but that will be the case with most decent condenser microphones.

Yeah i was looking at those a while back, might try to get them.

I have a behringer mixer with preamps and phantom power, and I might be getting one of the m-audio interfaces with preamps/phantom power soon
