i know this( / ) means to slide up. i have this in a tab. 0/2 it means to slide from open to fret 2. any help in slideing from a open note to the fret would be great. i have been trying but can't get it. thanks

On these cases I just hammer on the 2 note. It sounds good enough.

you have to play the open note and then hammer-on 1th fret and slide it to the 2nd pretty quickly

This is what I'd do. Don't make the first fret hammer-on distinct though, make it all flow as one motion.
Only play what you hear. If you don’t hear anything, don’t play anything.

u can try this:

hold ur finger on the string but before the nut so you arent fretting anything or changing any pitch. then play the string open (it will sound open) and slide over the nut, across the 1st fret and onto the 2nd fret.

unless its the lowestt string you can also slide the same notes on a different string (frets 5 to 7) otherwise the hammer on 1st and quick slide
