What A Levels or University course would you do? I'm happy doing History and Philosophy but would have no qualms doing Politics and Philosophy, but still.

For A Level I did History, Maths, Philosophy and English Language and Literature. I would instead of chose History, Philosophy, Politics and Economics if I knew myself more today.

What about you guys? Or no change?

I'm only in my first year of 6th form at the moment and I'm doing Business, Economics and English Language. I intend to take them all from AS to A Level, and then take Business Studies at university. I've saw various specialist business courses at uni's, such as business management, business economics, business finance, etc, but business studies is the way forward for me. Still though, I've got another year before I need to worry about university.

I'd have done Politics, Philosophy, Economics and Music.

I'm particularly dissapointed I didn't take politics. Apparently one of the teachers is a major lefty who likes ranting about the BNP and right-wing stupidity in general

I wouldn't have taken maths, maybe not physics either. Saying that though, I don't know what I'd have taken instead, maybe politics instead of maths.

(Took English Lit, History, Physics, Maths).

I'm going to university for the first time. I'm doing electrical and electronic engineering. Maybe if I were smarter, I'd be doing mechanical or civil engineering.

I didn't do A-levels, but I did the IB. Physics, Maths and Chemistry higher, Geography, German and English standard level.

My biggest regret is missing that one point in Maths. If I had gotten that, I'd have made it into Imperial College London, but noooooo, I was too damn lazy and addicted to the internet.

Electrical engineering is harder than mech / civil.

In fifth year I did:

Higher: English, History, Chemistry, Philosophy and Adv Higher Music.

I would basically just have swapped Chemistry and kept on French instead.

At uni? I wouldn't have wasted any time on sociology. I'm glad i'm doing what i'm doing though, now.

Happy doing what I'm doing (psychology). If I had it over again and couldn't do psychology I probably would have kept on chemistry to leaving certificate and went into medicine.

Debatable.

Completely.

I would go back and do psychology and English. My engineering degree didn't let me branch out very much.

Out of curiosity could you expand on why you think sociology was a waste of time?

I'm midway through applying for psychology at university but if I could change the stuff I took last year I would drop music, probably for history.

I've got a Law degree and the subjects I picked were Law, Philosophy, Business Studies and Psychology.

If I re-did it all again, I would choose Math, English, History and Law. Instead of a Law degree, I would do Journalism.

I'd do pretty much exactly the same... But possibly add human-biology for a laugh.

(I did maths, f. maths, physics, chemistry at A2 and study maths now)
