I hear a slight rattle in the back of my Vox AD50VT.

I'm trying to get the back off but I cant seem to get it off.

Its closed back.

Am I doing something wrong?

I have the same thing with the same amp. I have dropped a few picks inside, I really hope that's not it, because I can't open it up. I second this thread.

Will preamp tubes turn black and melt slightly undernormal conditions and still work?

It is a snug fit but it comes off. I had mine off to get some loose change out.

I took the back off my 30 no problem. Undo the screws and try getting a butter knife in there and go around the seams and make sure nothing is stuck, then start the lift it bit by bit with the button knife.

Thanks for that, I got a pick stuck in my Vox VT15 and it's been bugging me. I'm gonna try that.
