So can anyone here in the pit give me the titles of some good musical documentaries. Preferably about rock and roll but anything will do. and hell even if you have some other interesting documentaries about any art type subject throw those in too.

+1... amazing documentary.

There was a good 4 or 5 part series, i think made by the BBC a few years ago called
Get up stand up: a history of pop and politics.

Was an interesting show, if you're into politics aswell, was pretty much an overview of political music from the 60s Vietnam protests, thru punk, the 80s benefit gigs, and political elements in modern day pop music.

The Kids Are Alright is about The Who from the start of their careers up until the mid 1970s Who's Next Era. Lots of video footage of songs and interviews in that. Amazing Journey:The Story of The Who is a more recent documentary (just as good) which also contains more recent footage and covers the deaths of both Keith Moon and John Entwistle. Both are recommended but everyone should own t.k.a.a

Don´t forget A year and a half in the Life of Metallica.

Some Kind of Monster is just a 2 hour movie about rehab.

What are you talking about!?!? Eurotrip is a music documentry on the band "Lustra" with their hit song "Scotty Doesn't Know". It's got some deep ****ing lyrics man, I can see why it made them famous.

This. The cinematography is incredible. Its actually rated as the number 3 documentary of all time on imdb. I'm pretty sure you can watch it for free on their website, if not, I'm almost positive its on youtube. If you like Sigur Rós, you will love it.

Amadeus. There's boobies.

It's more of a drama than a documentary but watch it

Amadeus isn't a documentary, it's a fictional story involving a few historical people.

Yea, but it's got boobies, and that makes up for a lot.
