Being the major tard I am I've managed to lose a saddle on my Peavey Grind BXP bass. I'm gonna head to the local shop tomorrow to see if they've got one spare but looking at parts sites they mostly seem to be doing Jazz-style saddles.

What's the proper name for this type of saddle/bridge?

And also, since quite a few sites look a bit sketchy, anyone know somewhere I could order one?

Thanks!

Alright, I'll give them a try, Japanese Black Speed rarely disappoints.

Hmm judging from your pic you'd fit in more with a fat busted tribute.

i'm not sure about the name of the saddle or anything, but taking the bass with you would provide the shop with a starting point - if you weren't already doing that.
DONT RISK IT, BUY A BASS AMP

Yeah I'll be doing that. It's a funny thing, cause it's just the part that sits vertically and holds the string, but when you're changing strings it can come out pretty easily. I dunno if it's a problem with my bass specifically, something to do with build quality...

There's no proper name for it, I don't think. Peavey has never been one to use standard hardware on their instruments unless it's necessary.
Nope, no sig here.

On the bright side of things, peavey has the best customer service in the industry. Call them up.

Just did, they can send me one first class...for £10.60.

Ahh well.

It's the postage that'll really have got you there. I could send you one off of my Peavey, since it's in bits at the moment, and I imagine it's the same sized hardware, albeit the bridges are different (my Peavey has a "true" monorail bridge with the same removable saddles).
