I looking to buy a new guitar soon and possibly a new amp ( and possibly a new amp) i've been playing for a year and a half and am currently using a squire strat.

At the minute I'm am unsure wether to go for an Epiphone Les Paul Custom, Standard or a Fender Telecaster Standard in arctic white

Could somebody please tell me which is better from experience or could they tell me the pros and cons of either of the guitars?
Any help would be much appreciated.

P.S I have at budget up to £400
Also if it helps i enjoy to play music by paramore, lostprophets, 30 seconds to mars etc.
Thanks

Those are two COMPLETELY different guitars. Go to a store, test each out on the amp you use, and let your hands/ears decide for yourself

you have to try them out and decide. Tele's have pretty thin necks and lp's have much thicker ones. Me personally, i'd go with the tele but the lp will probably have a thicker sound. its a toss up

24.75 scale good for small people
25.5 scale is good for larger people
26.5-27" is for Baritone guitars

I prefer the 24.75 but absolutely HATE a les paul style guitar
it hurts your body, pick whats most comfy, for me, thats the
original strat type body

I recently bought a Schecter C1 plus for only $400 on sale
at gutiar center 440 with TAX!! and it has Tom pros bridge
Grover tuners, and ALL mahogany 3pc neck and body thru
originally the guitar was 900 at guitar center then went
down to 699 then to 399
